The Lines of Consequence: The Key Lines of your Design
The Human Design System synthesizes aspects of ancient observational systems and more contemporary disciplines. Through the Rave Mandala, one of the ancient systems Human Design relates to is the IāChing.
The Rave Mandala has 64 numbered sections in the outer ring, and those sections represent the 64 hexagrams of the IāChing. The 64 hexagrams around the outer wheel, translated into the BodyGraph as Gates, each consisting of six Lines. These Gates are used in Human Design to thematically understand our genetic imprint, and provide very specific detail about the characteristics that make up each of us.
Human Design is a science of differentiation. As Ra put it, āHuman Design is about the potential of the expression of uniqueness.ā The Lines of the BodyGraph would seem to have the same meaning for everyone. But the Lines themselves live through oneās holistic life, coming alive as one lives life correctly; thus they are expressed differently in each individual through the framework of our unique Design.
